The results of the recent Channel 12 poll is what the Trillo team has predicted at this point in the campaign and is right on track with their expectations, given that the other candidates are current office holders and they simply have name recognition.
When Trillo begins to release his proposed policies later this year, his numbers will increase based on his plans to lower taxes, reduce government regulations, and discontinue Rhode Island's image as a sanctuary state.
Trillo does not have a primary and is strategically releasing his unique ideas to change Rhode Island later in his campaign.
Trillo believes that among the other candidates for Governor, he is the only candidate that can truly effectuate the dramatic change that this state needs because of his forty five years as a small businessman and 16 years as a state representative.
Trillo is the real fighter for the average taxpayer. Gina can't solve a problem and Alan is a weak leader.
“While everyone is falling over themselves to come up with the best idea to ensure a safe learning environment for our schools, let's take action now.
Our schools need to be made safer today, not next week, not next month, not next year, but today.
While we wait for the Red Flag Law to pass; while we wait for other legislation to make its way through the General Assembly; while we wait to find out if the Google settlement money can be used; while we wait for all the bureaucrats to figure what they can and will do; we need to immediately place an armed police officer or an armed resource officer in every one of our schools.
Therefore, I call upon our mayors, town administrators, and city councils to approve the placement of these armed officers that are already in the employ of our city and towns, to be placed in our schools immediately.
Even if this is only done until permanent plans can be put in place, our children need to feel secure and should be safe when in school. We cannot and should not wait any longer.”
